While traveling through Central America I was looking for a charming oasis in the Caribbean region, with white warm sand and turquoise waves, not glamorous, without tons of tourists. The research brought me to Roatan.
Roatan is one of the smallest islands in the Caribbean area. It is part of Bay Islands, just 50km long and up to 4km wide. It’s territory belongs to Honduras. Continue reading
Have this ever happened to you, vacation is coming but you don’t feel that joy and heart aches? It might not, unless you have a fluffy little friend named Cat at home. It’s been proved, Cat is not flexible at all when it comes to leaving his home. And if he needs to choose between you and his cozy house, sorry but the choice is obvious – he’ll choose the house. Which is why we never take our pets on vacation with us.
Autumn has finally come. Blink, and the palette utterly changed. Beautiful days, aren’t they?
This reminded me about charming autumn in Lithuania, the country loved by many Ukrainians for its political loyalty and support for the country; as well as for magic spirit of Vilnius, sea breeze in Palanga, delightful cuisine and great variety of craft beers.
For me, one of the loveliest and romantic places in Lithuania is Trakai – medieval gothic castle not far from Vilnius. Trakai is the only castle in Eastern Europe built on the island in the middle of a lake. As the former capital of the country and home for nobles, it’s history is covered with legends and poems. Though now it’s only a museum open to all.
I’ve been to Trakai twice: this summer and years earlier in autumn.
Just wanted to show you the magic touch of the season. The glow.

Enjoy the days, friends.
It’s been 5 years since I launched a tradition of spending our summer holidays in winter. In our native country the climate is severe in January and February so it’s become a trend in young Ukrainian families to have extended winter holidays somewhere in Asia or South America.
Visiting Cuba was my teenage dream, all those photos of vintage cars and post-colonial architecture.. who haven’t been allured by them tell me! So, it was decided 2016 would start on Cuba. Our trip started on the 9th of January and lasted 3 weekss, but this post is about a lazy part of vacation – Cayo Largo retreat. Continue reading
For me, when it comes to visiting London for short periods the most complicated part is not to get lost in a broad choice of world famous attractions, various activities and numerous restaurants and bars. This is not the situation when you should trust yourself to fate and let all happen by itself. You need a plan. Thanks to my friend Marina and her passion for planning we managed to see some of the most beautiful spots and get into world famous restaurants and bars within only 2 days.
Lat week I started telling you about how to spend 2 days in London and shared our self-invented entertainment plan for Day 1 including the shortlist of must-see’s and a couple of dining choices. Today I am happily sharing a plan for Day 2! Continue reading
It was a humid July day when after 3 hours train ride I’ve arrived in Porto. By that time I had stayed in Lisbon and Lagos for a couple of weeks and already decided for myself that Portugal is the country where I feel cozy and homy, and nothing could make me feel thrilled. And how wrong I was when booked only 2 nights in Porto. Walking down the city streets I was already imagining myself spending the whole summer here each morning drinking coffee at the large antique table in a spacious old apartment with Atlantic ocean view. In this post, I wanted to give an overview on using one of the solutions to travel and expenses management for business. But when started the article, realized that not for everyone is clear why such tools should be implemented in global companies. This requires additional cost (on implementation phase) and extra effort for guidance.
I believe it’s only a matter of time when global companies start reducing administrative stuff to minimum, especially in corporate travel industry. Not good news for travel assistants and managers, good news for business travel providers, software companies and startups. Continue reading
